Over many years I have personally been involved in running successful businesses, teaching and seeking revelation regarding the wise stewardship of finance. It is my belief that within many congregations today the biblical foundation of dealing with finance are mainly taught on mission Sunday, or when the church introduced its new building program to the congregation.

In general, financial concepts are rarely taught, even though there is an ever-increasing amount of material available focusing on how believers could serve God through the responsible use of money.

Over the years I have found there has been a lot of interest when I have shared on the subject of what the Bible says about the everyday aspects of money, prosperity, poverty, wealth and setting up businesses based on biblical principles.

Now that I have taught on the subject for many years – in seminars, television, churches and written courses and the Kingdom Business book “You can be God’s Entrepreneur” I know what a revelation it is for most people to discover how much God cares about money.

When you study the Bible there are about 700 direct references to money, along with hundreds of more indirect references. When Jesus shared different parables nearly two thirds were related to dealing with money. He made comparisons with the ability to manage financial resources with the ability to manage spiritual resources.

“10. Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trust worthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?”(Luke 16:10-12)

“But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your forefathers, as it is today”. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

My hope is that, if you embark on attending a Kingdom Business, life group, business seminar or the Kingdom Business Academy, you will gain absolute peace from the Lord in the areas of Business and finances, because God has promised that He delights in the prosperity of his servant.

“Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (Psalm 35:27)
